Community & Social Action PROGRAMMES

NTCG Rehoboth Community Outreach Event - October 2023

T.Heritage was proud to be the main Sponsor for this community outreach event, leading on supporting lone parents and low income families as well as introducing the local community in Forest Hill, South London to:  1) charitable community groups that address those who are socially disconnected; 2) offer assistance to those with mental health & wellbeing concerns; 3) provide financial guidance and 'cost of living' information; and 4) provide professional careers guidance and support.

Through our iNeedWork.com employability platform, we also sponsored a Dragon's Den-style business pitch competition where successful entrants were awarded funds donated by T.Heritage to help to support their entrepreneurial aspirations.

Career Support for 16 - 24 Year Olds

Although we work with all demographics of the community, T.Heritage absolutely loves working with young adults through our employability platform, ​iNeedWork.com​​​.

We recognise that school, college and university leavers often encounter initial challenges establishing themselves in the employment market. So, in addition to training young adults with professional employment skills, we have been busy supporting young people with CV formation, job hunting, and interview skills.

Voluntary Work with Victims and Survivors of Domestic Abuse

In Croydon, South London, T.Heritage representatives formed an integral part of a team of volunteers, leading discussion groups with female victims of domestic abuse and providing practical support for them and their children. We were fully able to empathise and offer real life, practical life advice with the women who attended the session.

We also lead on and support a number of domestic abuse voluntary initiatives in London and other areas in the UK.

Supporting victims of domestic abuse energised the Directors of T.Heritage to set up a charitable organisation to focus on rebuilding and recovery programmes to support domestic abuse survivors. 

Public Speaking

In recent years, the T.Heritage Team have been invited to local community and national events as well as taking part in podcasts to speak about the challenges and successes of 'life's university'!  We've spoken of our Christian Faith, family, domestic abuse, education and career development.  We've seen highs, lows - and many inbetween places in these areas.  These speaking events are known to be enjoyable 'teaching moments'!

T.Heritage's style is engaging and humorous - but also very real and genuine.

Community Giveaways

The T.Heritage Team regularly leads on or is involved in community initiatives that distribute vouchers, food and clothing to those in need.

Charity Trustee

We're soooo proud and happy to report that one of our Directors, Angela Thomas, has just been appointed as a Trustee of a local Charity impacting five boroughs in South London.  The Charity delivers community social programmes focussing on sharing & learning, health & wellbeing, outreach activities and venue hire for events, creative performances and community decision making.  CONGRATULATIONS!!! We know that Angela will do a phenomenal job for the betterment of the community!
